Title: Found: A Wired Remote PC Power Switch with USB and Audio
Post by: mark shaker on September 29, 2010, 07:58:41 pm

Dudes;

Here is a wired Remote PC Power Switch that also has 2 USB Ports, a Mic jack and a Headphone Jack:

http://www.amazon.com/Sharkoon-SHK-JPSTARTB-Remote-Extention/dp/B003GJ6WC2/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1285803903&sr=1-1 (http://www.amazon.com/Sharkoon-SHK-JPSTARTB-Remote-Extention/dp/B003GJ6WC2/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1285803903&sr=1-1)

Important stuff not mentioned in the listing:

   The cord length is 80 inches past the strain relief
   where it exits through a card slot on the back of the case.

   It has Motherboard connectors for:
      Power Switch (with pass-through so the case switch will still work.)
      Power LED
      2 port USB Header
      HD Audio and AC'97 Audio

I have a PC buried in one of my cabinets, and for some reason the motherboard ignores the Power-On After Power Failure BIOS setting.

I *understand* that all I needed was some wire and a momentary switch, but this is a much prettier solution, and I know the USB ports will come in handy.

thats kinda cool.  i still prefer a standard arcade pushbutton wired to the motherbaord, but it is still pretty cool
