how much is too much for a good 10" table saw on CL?
-
Depends on the saw, not all 10" table saws are equal. For example the Ryobi 10"ers are functional but can't fit a typical dado blade, smaller arbor length. Other brands can be better. I see the Ryobi's for $60-80 pretty frequently, that's actually what I bought. It makes for a good entry saw just have to know what you want.

well then whats a good brand? If you say Ryobi wont use standard blades then what would you recommend if I want one that will last for years and be highly functional and adjustable

No the Ryobi will use standard 10" blades, it cannot use some Dado sets is what I said. It honestly depends what you want to use it for. To be honest I'm not knowledgeable about the better brands enough to offer an opinion. I do know, however, that the Ryobis are typically the cheapest, are readily available on CL (at least in Dallas) and have a few limitations. With that said I am quite pleased with mine given the price.
