I need to replace a coup;le of resistors on my WG K7000. My questions is what type of resistors do I get. I know some are color coded, these aren't. They are listed in the manual as 1.2 5% 2W MF....My most obvious guess is that these are 1.2 ohms, 5% tolerance, 2 watts, and Metal film? When I went over to Mouse and put this info in, nothing came up. Even on Bob Roberts site, there didn't seem to anything that matched exactly. Are there ones that I can substitute for these, perhaps one that could handle heat a little better? Thanks.

Sounds like metal film, yes. Those would usually be a blue colored body.
Carbon Composition (dark brown body) or maybe Carbon Film (light brown body) can probably be substituted without issue.
If you're concerned about heat, Carbon Composition tend to hold up fairly well, but not much better than Carbon or Metal Film types. You could also overside to a 5W if there's physical room.
My only concern would be if the slightly inductive nature of the metal film is required in this application. Carbon Composition are very non-inductive. I'm guessing it doesn't matter.

1.2 ohm @2w ... stick with a "flameproof" resistor (MF) :timebomb:

a flameproof resistor will open whereas the
carbon resistor will often produce open flame when ratings are exceeded.....

Is the part marked as a "safety critical" part? Wells Gardner is usually pretty good about that.
