---That which is odiferous and causeth plants to grow---. I think it being a crappy game and bad sales (for consoles) for SSFIV caused it.
-
Bad game? I thought the game was quite good. Haven't played a SF this good since Street Fighter Alpha 3 (sorry I never really grew fond of SF3).
-
I havent played a good SF game since Alpha 3. I bought SFIV for 360, then I was stupid enough to repeat my mistake and bought SSFIV for 360
-
The game is good and the sales were good for consoles. Ono didn't give any definitive answer about a release on PC. They just released new arcade characters (Yun / Yang) and they probably want to sell it on consoles first. When the sales will drop, a PC version is an easy way to make extra money.

You think it's a crappy game, yet you bought both versions? Hehehe, the game is so good, they made money off a consumer who hates it! :D Capcom wins.
SF4 is a fine game. Lots of good game-play balancing changes, and beautifully translated artwork from 2D to 3D. Do you hate it because you get your butt romped by scrub Ken players online? :lol
I don't know where you're getting your sales figures from, but SF4 sold over 3 million in the first two months of being released. I'm sure it's over 4 million by now...and if your argument is "consoles didn't sell as well as the PC version" (which is somewhat facetious), then Capcom still wins! ...think about it: Next to no distribution or manufacturing costs for PC sales -- the majority of that price tag being cold hard profit. Capcom would hope that it sells more for PC!

I'm tired of that crappy excuse from every developer that decides the don't want to release games on PC.
Link it to STEAM or something to control copy protection (I know some guys that want to run it on arcade cabs might not love that idea), but it'd be better than not getting it at all.

I think SFIV is awesome! Maybe I'm alone :(. I am also unhappy about SSFIV not coming to PC. Lets just hope we see it eventually.

I was wondering if the PC sales would prompt Mortal Kombat's next release to be released on PC... guess not. I was disappointed Mortal Kombat vs DC never hit the PC and was excited to see SF4 on PC so we could run it on our cabs, the way fighting games should be played!

I think it's still up in the air about the PC release of a new MK game. Keep your fingers crossed for MK9 though. :-)
As for the SFIV PC version it is very buggy to begin with. Not having a multiple keyboard control was a big one. Their team couldn't even develop a patch for it to correct the problem, so users had to do it on their own with workarounds. Sounds to me like they dismantled the "PC porting" team ages ago and now with this new version, since it doesn't exist, they are blaming it on future piracy crap. Give me a break.
By the way, here's a vid of MK9 (Fatalities will be M rated obviously)

Ono is right it will be 99% complete and on the Typex2 hardware...
Here's a vid of Blazblue Continuum Shift running on PC:

Only problem is the single player setup Capcom forces on their game, making vendors purchase two boards... but I'm sure some software fix can patch that up.

For the record, I purchased the PC version of SF4 (and xbox/ps3 versions too) + all DLC for each... and SSF4 for PS3.
I will have this game on my arcade cab pc. ---fudgesicle--- Capcom... if they don't want my money they won't get it. :)

MK9 Looks good, but you can tell gameplay is crap, look at :37, scorpian didnt even touch him and subzero was hit.

I believe it was only a beta copy since the game hasn't been released. Warner Bros was at the PAX 2010 event where they showcased the game. So I'm sure it will change some.

I didnt buy SF4, my GF bought it for me; I thought they were gonna fix what I didnt like in SSF4 and Adon is one of my fave characters so I made the mistake of getting the "upgrade". The main thing that pissed me off was the fact that almost all the achievements were the same. Like I didnt bother to get 500 games in on SF4 while the hell would I wanna play 500 more on this one for 10 gamerscore?
As for the game, its good but its not super. Online is hit or miss, as with any game. I can hold my own for the most part but when I see the player flag from japan I cry a little on the inside; but then I make it up by stomping them in Puzzle Fighter. As for sales figures I didnt cite any, but I was talking about Super SF4 sales....I think I read somewhere (IGN?) that SF4 outsold SSF4

I also bought it for the 360. I played it for about 10 minutes and later sold the game at a loss.

I love ssf4. Although recently i've been playing alpha 3 recently, but only really since it's on the cab, Will prob get back into it once I get the candy cab/360 project done.
