Title: Dispensing game tickets with MAME, possible?
Post by: bmb on September 21, 2010, 01:08:44 pm
Hello a newbie here..  I have been reading through old posts for the last couple weeks getting some great information on a future MAME cabinet project.  So even if you don't know it, thanks greatly for the help!

While gathering parts for my project I ended up with a coin door, coin box, coin mechs, and ticket dispenser all in one nice looking unit for a great price.   I'm happy with the coin mechs but the DL-1275 ticket dispenser got me thinking.   Thought it would be fun for the kids on the games that support it...  (Chuckie Cheese experience at home)

I'm familiar with electronics, understand the dispenser wiring and operation, but what I DON'T GET ---  1)  Do any MAME games even support ticket dispensers?  2)  How do you interface the computer with them?   I

If I could get MAME to send the signal on the parallel port, etc. for ticket dispensing I could take the interface from there...    But I've only been able to find vague information or rumors about the ability for MAME to support this..

Any help would be appreciated...

Thanks!
