Title: Street Fighter 2 settings?
Post by: NatasNJ on August 09, 2003, 07:29:57 pm
When you play various version of SF2, I notice SOMETIMES it states TURBO 1,2,3...  Each time it is different.  How do I change this?  And is there wasys to alter CPU difficulty settings, etc?

just press your system button (i think that's what it's called?) by pressing f2 or f3 (i forget which one) after you the street fighter rom is done loading... you should be able to change system difficulty, freeplay, speed settings (if applicable), etc... there

It is f2.  You can adjust the settings of many games this way -- very useful.

F2 does it.  Thanks..
F3 Resets...

Weird though.  WHen I hit F2 to go into menu, then I had to hit TAB and adjust settings in there and then I would see the dip switches change.  Not sure if that is how it is to be done.  But it worked.  Couldn't figure out how to chnage dip switches with controls in the in game menu.

Regardless I got it to work.  THanks again for the info.. :)

sometimes a game has a dipswitch-controlled operator mode, where you flip a switch one way to get into it and the other way when you're done.
or there's a button to push when you want operator mode.
F2 will do them both, but you will see the 'diagnostic mode'  (or something similar) dipswitch go off if it's a dipswitch model.
