Title: Think I Need a Power Supply
Post by: Med on September 15, 2010, 10:45:13 am
I have a Captain America machine (seen here (http://www.arcade-museum.com/game_detail.php?game_id=7275)) that recently stopped working. I am getting power to the marquee and the monitor appears to be on. What isn't working is the jamma board and the coin door lights.

After reading a bit on the forums I believe that the power supply on the floor was the problem. A friend had put a voltmeter on it and indeed there was voltage going in, but nada coming out.

Can you recommend what power supply specifically I should purchase to replace it, and also where would be the right place to go (ebay, online store, etc.). Thanks in advance.

You can get these from any arcade part supplier or you can use a PC supply with a jumper.

From this weekend, a single piece of solid core 18 gauge wire works well as the jumper.
