Hi all,
I'm starting a new project next week, just doing the designs now and the jukebox will look like the current sound leisure models based in pubs accross the UK.
I plan to use a p4 base stripped out and a stripped down elo 15" screen construction will be mainly mdf but will be using other materials such as perspex for the front but i will be posting updates to follow the construction process for inputs and ideas....
Now my first questions are....
Were would i get a coin mech from to work with a standard PC?
What amp do you think i should use... the speakers will be external bookshelf speakers..
The total funds for this build is £300. But I'm hoping to create a very high spec unit

Hi i've finished the design now and uploaded it to this post for some feedback.....

Just been looking into the software what do you think to zenpoint? I'm not sure if it supports coin mechs so maybe freebox is more what I need....
Cheers

For software, ill use etouch, as far as desing, it pretty look alot like the kind im building for family and friends, and for the coin mech, i use those chinese wey-yah electronic coin mech, i take the front of the coin mech off and use the guts from behind the wood, that way you get a clean look. look at my pic....

:applaud: That just looks like what im trying to do might be a little slimmer tho.... Have you got a link for the coin mech you use and what controller do you use to emulate the coin mech... The software i was looking at was the pc jukebox but i also like etouch used that before on a jukebox i did for my father... So whats left to do on your jukebox and did you installed an internal amp?

i dont know who sell them but i found this link http://crosscookie.en.made-in-china.com/product/wImnvQxTVEsb/China-Coin-Selector.html (http://crosscookie.en.made-in-china.com/product/wImnvQxTVEsb/China-Coin-Selector.html) i get them a mexico for 15 dlls. i use a regular usb hacked controller to use the coin mech, and because of the desing of the jukebox, you need to hook the juke to a suround sound system or somenthing that has an built in amp. The juke however has a small regular pc speaker so you can use it on a small room.
