Title: Noob with questions about WG U3100 monitor (and arcade monitors in general)

So I've had the itch to build a MAME cabinet for years, and finally decided to start the process last month.  I purchased a U3100 monitor direct from Wells-Gardner, without really knowing what I was getting into.  In the rush to get a new CRT arcade monitor before they go the way of the dodo, I jumped the gun a bit.  

So here are a few questions I hope you fine folks can help with:

• Where can I get a power cord for this thing?  I see some on the Suzo-Happ site (Part no. 49-5179-00 (http://happcontrols.com/monitors/wells_parts.htm)), but not sure if that's what I need exactly.
• I plan to use this in a cocktail cabinet build.  After doing some more research, apparently you need the monitor modded in some fashion for it to work in this configuration?  What is involved, and where should I look for someone to do this modification?  (My electronics skills outside of building PCs is minimal to non-existent) If I don't have it done, will it just look bad, or will it damage the monitor?
• The whole "OMG 20,000 volts" thing with CRTs has me a bit spooked.  Any tips/tricks for not getting myself killed?
