I've just sent an email to Andy from Ultimarc as well, just wondering if anyone else had a problem like this?
Initially the one U360 had some centering issues, but I sorted that out with the custom mapping. The joystick was also a bit "sticky", but I thought that's just the way they are. Yesterday I played on the other U360, and it's like day and night.
The one, when you move it and let go, the joystick slowly goes back to the center. The other one, when you move it and let go, it snaps back to the center immediately.
I bought them together, so they should be from the same batch etc., why the big difference? How can I fix the one that's a bit sticky? Will something like Q20 lubricant work?

I'm interested in this subject too. Both the joysticks are completely playable but the p2 stick does seem a little smoother and centres better.
I was going to try some lubricant so I'd be interested to hear anything.

I don't think you'll need much from members here - Andy will set you right 90% of the time, and if it's a common request, he'll probably add his own comments here too.

to be honest it hasn't bothered me at all so I didn't want to bother Andy. I just noticed that they weren't identical.
(will get round to posting a pic of the cab eventually Turnarcades ::))

My sticks feel the same but when I calibrate them in windows, the data sent to the PC from the joystick is very different.
I jsut found this strange.

You calibrated them in windows? You're not supposed to.

Oh .... from here:

I went and checked the gamepad device settings and went in and did a calibrate.
isn't calibration needed so that hte exact center is known?
What was I supposed to do? The joysticks seem to be working now just fine.

Quotes from Ultimarc.com:
the UltraStik 360 requires no calibration
The Ultrastik 360 self-calibrates
make sure that the device has not been calibrated in Windows

Nope. It self-calibrates when you start your computer.

Mine would stick going from up position to center. I ended up lubricating it and it works fine now.

I ended up just spraying some Q20 lubrication on it, works perfectly now. :)

Sometimes the U360s get metal shavings in them, that can affect the movement/calibration of the stick.
If the problem continues, you can take it apart and brush out any shavings you see in there. It's a rare problem but it pops up every once in while.
