Title: [ US / IL / Peoria area]FT - Gutted DK cab for another gutted cab

I've wanted a cabinet to MAME for a few years now, but never could come across one.  Then I met a friend of a friend who had this DK cabinet leftover from a restore he did and said I could have it.  After talking to a few people on here I was told my plans for it are borderline blasphemy so if anyone in the area wants it and has another cab (preferably MK style if I could choose) for my Nintendo cab I'd be willing to trade it.

Since the cabinet is already gutted, why not restore the cabinet itself to a DK while throwing a PC in there to MAME it?  No one is going to care especially if you make it easy for it to become a full DK with the addition of a game board, CP, and monitor. 

Or, were you going to carve off the front to put a huge 4 player cp on it or something?

In my book, as long as you are moving the cabinet back toward its original condition, you can't do anything wrong with it.
