Title: FS: Translucent blue Dreamcast, games and accessories - Spring, TX
Post by: grueinthebox on September 09, 2010, 07:14:16 pm
The great closet cleanout continues...  Trying to clear out my gaming stuff to make room for new daughter on the way.

Up for grabs this time is my complete Dreamcast collection...  Has to be one of the cooler Dreamcast consoles out there - fitted with an official Sega translucent blue lid, blue LED and modchip allowing the play of imports.  Comes with all the "must have" accessories and a bunch of great games.  Everything is in excellent condition, neurotic adult owned.  Games are all complete with discs in excellent shape.

Pics here: http://img651.imageshack.us/g/img1293x.jpg/ (http://img651.imageshack.us/g/img1293x.jpg/)

Dreamcast console w/ translucent blue official Sega lid, blue LED and modchip (allows play of imports without any shenanigans), complete with box, AV and RF cables, power cable, manuals, paperwork, unopened web browser disc and 2 Official Dreamcast Magazine demo discs

DC's need a modchip?

To play imports.  Or you could just use the Utopia boot disk to play imports, no mod needed.

Utopia disk came in handy back when I bought Shenmue II (PAL).

Modchip predates boot discs.  Price was gleaned from a quick scan of local Craigslist postings (is actually lower than those I found there). Thanks for the constructive feedback. Nice helpful folks around here these days...

I thought $250 (change the -0- to a decimal point was a fair price) for just the console.  I mean it is Ice Blue   :droid

I was trying to look at something positive as all you needed was a DC that predates........I keep forgetting the date. (But I have thought about it One thousand, nine hundred and ninety-nine times and still forget that magical date)     :o

I know, and I was being playful. To put it in perspective, I bought a DC with 2 controllers and 2 VMUs and 5 LEGIT games for $35 shipped about a year ago. You are asking FAR too much.  Craigslist is a terrible price barometer, unless you want to buy my Killer Instinct Arcade cab for the low price of $4500, its RARE ya know!

eBay is better for prices, just make sure you only count items that have a few bids and less than a day left on them..;. and 250 is way way way too much, I got a DC NEW IN BOX NEVER OPENED 6 months ago for 40 bucks at a retail store.

250 THATS CRACK PRICES!
