5 At the moment.

Only because when I was passed on the code it came with a number of 3RD party components that can only be used with V5.

I also have a copy of Delphi 7, 2007 & 2010. I have a long term goal of migrating MaLa to one of these. To do that I need to acquire and/or purchase compatible source code to these components of find/purchase new similar ones. In the background I have made good progress on this (about 75%). I certainly can compile all the extra MaLa tools on Delphi 2007 but I don't ship those versions yet just in case there is subtle issues.

If you want to make Plugins you can probably use any Delphi version or MS Visual C++

was just curious - my version is 4. I don't see a need to change your version unless the newer versions of Delphi offer you more.

I still have a company using a 20 year old program that I wrote in Turbo Pascal of all things, lol - talk about resisting change, those people just don't want to.

Yeah it's a blance of two bits of logic/wisdom

"If it ai'nt broke don't fix it" and "The risk of it breaking or needing modification on a unsupported development platform"

yep - these are the same people that are still using DOS based WordPerfect 5.0 and Borland's QuattroPro spreadsheet. :laugh2:
