Title: CP Test Complete!
Post by: railz on August 09, 2003, 01:00:37 am
Got my stuff today from Ben so I simply couldn't wait for payday (so I can buy wood, etc) - I had to try it out NOW! :)

Got two sheets or stiff cardboard, designed a quick layout, wired it all up and bam! Worked first time.

Hell, even I was impressed. Well except for the bit that made me wire up and down in reverse :)

I'm having problems working out how those Universal stick bottoms (the housing with the microswitches) stays on the stick though. If I rotate it so it locks, I have to mount the joystick top at a 45 degree angle and it doesn't look right?

Everything else took about an hour to cut, crimp and connect.

I like labeling wires - even though I still make mistakes

It's Alive!

Proceed to play some Xmen COTA but don't spend too long on it - the cardboard maybe double-thick but it's not really strong enough for prolonged gaming.
