I am looking at doing some restoration work on a Galaxian cab, and need a CP. Would a repro Galaga panel from Mike's Arcade like this one:

work on a Galaxian? I know the Pac/Galaxian cabs are a little different than the Ms Pac/Galaga cabs, but are they enough different that the control panels are not interchangable?

I have a galaga control panel coming in the mail right now. I should get it today.
I am going to try fitting it on my galaxian cabinet. I'll post back tonight with the
results. Supposedly only the piece of wood in the back is different dimension wise.
Depending how this thing fits I might have a spare galaxian control panel btw.

Awesome, nothing like first-hand experience.
Thanks, but I won't need your old panel, I am actually doing a gentle upgrade to my Galaxian. I will be removing and storing the original CP, and installing a reproduction panel that will have more controls to make it a multi-game cab. All original parts will either remain in place or be stored, so it could be easily converted back to original. (Hopefully that won't get me flamed by the purists, but it is all reversible.)

I could test out Galaga <--> Ms Pac, if anyone cares.

Unfortunately it wont without a lot of modification.. I'm kinda bummed. Now
I have a $45 galaga control panel I need to figure something to do with.
The inside clamps need to be moved about an 1" and it would require adding wood to the
metal control panel to build it up to support it right. Its also a little bigger.

Dang!! :-[
Thanks for sharing. I wonder if there are any other alternatives? This is a little frustrating, for reproduction parts it seems to be all about Galaga and my Galaxian gets no respect.
