Title: Ipac going to "default" after 30 sec

Hey all,

I'm mystified.  I have set up my ipac with the WinIPAC program and all works well for around 30 sec then it changes.  Most of my buttons are nothing and "1" (player start) is fine and "up" is "`".   That's it.  I can reprogram it without issue but then POOF!  Back to this weird default.
BTW it does this for mame32, nesticle, notepad and the ipac testing window.

Anyone come across this?

have you tried rebooting after you program it?

Sounds almost like the "shift" command is stuck. "`" is the shift command for up + start1, I think.

Yes that could be it. This would also cause P1SW1 and 2 to send "5" and "6", which you could check in Notepad.

Check for shorts on the Start1 connection.

Bah I'm getting sloppy.  The shift was doing it.
I just mirrored my controls to the shift as a quick fix but at least I know where to hunt.  Thanks for the help as usual guys!
