I posted this in the Audio forum, but thought it might get better "PLAY" here. (pun intended)
Does anyone have a "Coin Drop" sound-byte (or point me to a link) that I could use for Windows start-up?
found 2 here (http://www.freesound.org/ (http://www.freesound.org/)):
75235__creek23__cha_ching.wav
29643__tweeterdj__Coin_into_Slot.wav (I think I like this one better)
still looking, something that comes to mind is the coin drop, 45 record mount at the beginning of "Rock Around the Clock" (I think that's the song I'm thinking of.
(does anyone have that?)
but still looking for suggestions.

I just thought of something. Give me two minutes with YouTube and Audacity.

That site appears to be totally missing the best audio of all from Q*Bert.
When you turn the game on, it says "Hello, I'm turned on"

You should upload the coin drop sound byte to the files section here at BYOAC.

DWJukebox (DOS/WinCab) software has this one.

Another option is virtual pinball, VPinMAME, Future Pinball.
Can't remember specifics, but I remember hearing coin drop sounds from some pinball games.

"Coin Detected in Pocket"
I think that's a good one.
