CSO is having a sweet deal on shipping now thru Monday. $1.00 on anything. They've got some nice deals here:

Pick up a machine and have it shipped CHEAP!

yeah, some good stuff

I dunno... Seems a bit pricey. What you save in shipping seems to be added into the price of the machine... That's probably how much I would pay for a used PC with monitor, but not by itself.

The dollar shipping is for _anything_ on the site. Not just systems.

My advice, take it for what it is worth, is to not do business with Computer Surplus Outlet.
I am always willing to give a new vendor a try, so I placed an order for a few components I needed for various projects. Minor stuff. It came out to $180.00
They charged my visa check card right away. After a week of checking the status I emailed them and asked what the story was. They apologized and promised shipment on Tuesday. Tuesday and Wednesday came and went, and the order did not ship.
I asked for my money back, and they tell me it will take 7 to 10 days to process the request. It sure did not take them 7 to 10 days to charge the card.
I know there are plenty of businesses that do charge the customer up front, and then deliver whenever is convenient to them—I just choose not to do business with them.
Compare and contrast—I ordered a couple of 80 gig hard drives from Tigerdirect on Friday, and they shipped on Friday. Better prices too.
Regards,
Keith

I've never had a problem with CSO. Of course, I've ordered very little from them. They're a niche market; catering to bulk sales and older software/hardware. I'm sorry you had a bad experience with them. It happens with all business.
I've been doing business with the USPS for over 20 years. I've never had anything go missing - until recently. They lost a package I sent. Will I continue doing business with them? Yep. Now if this were commonplace, not a chance in Hell.

I see your point Peale, and I definitely think you should keep doing business with them if you have a good relationship.
I am not going to use them again because my problem with them is not the experience; shipping delays happen. The problem I have is that as far as they are concerned there is no problem because that is the way they do business. They charge the card when the order comes in, they don
