I just got my USB connects from Ultimarc, fast shipping from the UK to the US again :applaud:
The wires on this harness look like they are 26AWG.
Has anyone used the .187 QDs on these 26AWGs?
If I have to use the 24-26 guage QDs wouldnt that be too small to connect to the button micro-switches?

USB connects? are you talking about the button wire harness? i don't know what guage they are for, but i used quick disconnects with the blue plastic sleeve on them, i picked them up at lowes. i just folded the end of the wire over a little and crimped them on, they have held up well.

Here is a picture of the harness:

So by bending/looping/hooking the 26 gauge wire into the 16-22 gauge wire connector, you were able to use the .187 QDs for the Ultimarc USB Harness?

That's not USB.

Ya, you just have to fold the copper on top of itself 1 or 2 times. Enough that when you crimp, there is more material for the wire connector to grab onto.

That's not USB.
That is why I was confused.

Argh indeed...not sure why I am calling it that last night. :-\
The name should be: UltraStik Button / Encoder Harness.
Fixed the title too LOL.
Thanks!

not a great pic, but here you can see the blue crimp-on disconnects on my u360 wire harnesses. i folded the wire over 1 time and crimped them on, i did that a long time ago, then just recently pulled them all off to move my u360s to a different cabinet, and put them back on. they all held up very well.

i have alot of wires running through my cabinet, so color coding them was a must.
