I have all this extra space underneath my monitor.. the Bezel will actually be held up higher than it appears in the pic (it slid down, and I can't take a pic while holding it in place).
The thing is tomorrow my friend and I are going to mount it along with the lcd monitor which requires removing the back, so tomorrow may be the last time I get to do any cutting or route anything out.
Any ideas of something that might look good in that spot under the monitor?
Here are some previous Ideas i've had
1. 7" monitor - decided too much trouble, causes some games like blaz blue to not work, and I've decided I don't really need it
2. Imon home media pc attachment -
3. Maybe some instructions?

I put a USB hub (for game pads or whatever), external USB DVD-ROM drive (for loading software or running games that require a CD/DVD while running), and two illuminated buttons that are wired so that ther act as a Pause and Exit in MAME:

Another monitor?

Hmm a usb hum may work, and I do have an extra external drive, but I'd rather avoid having the monitor. I have hyperspin display the controls right before it launches mame so I really see no use for the 2nd screen (plus it makes some things a bit more complicated).

I'd still go with the 7" monitor... It may not be of much use right now, but the next version of HyperSpin will utilize dual monitors.
Also, for BlazBlue the second screen can be disabled prior to launch and then re-enabled upon exit.
There is plenty of room there on the sides of the 7" where a USB hub could be placed... If you setup is like mine then your 7" will have glass in front of it as well and you wouldn't be able to access the USB hub anyway.

what kind of dual use do you mean? will it be just controller layouts? game info? or will it be more than this?
I have cpwizard setup, will it have any other added features other that cpwizard can't do?

At this point things are still in the planning stages, but we've discussed several different uses for a second screen above and beyond what CPWizard or Marquee Magician can do. Anything from simple button/control layouts, fighting game move lists, and possibly even game selection. Of course, none of this is set in stone, but knowing the perfectionist that Bill is, the second screen will definitely be put to good use.
Right now I usually run jukebox software on my 7" when I'm playing games. I have also setup Marquee Magician to pull images from my wheel images folders. When I am not using my jukebox the wheel image for the game being played will display on my second screen.

Dual monitor support is nice. Now you just need to add password protected menus...
-
Less is more. How about some nice black paint behind the glass that covers it.
-
Instruction cards or some cleverly-created bezel art will help minimise the apparent space that's there.
-
Isn't that where the jukebox number pad goes? Or maybe a nice stereo receiver...
-
What about admin buttons? Something like mountain did HERE (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=63629.msg668652#msg668652).
-
I already have admin buttons, but I was thinking ... maybe jukebox buttons?

What about a volume knob, headphone jack and power button?

Javery: Hmm yeah sounds good, just that the example you posted seems really complicated.. I could not match that
Sever: haha ha ha I'd have to get the set

personally, I'd put noting under there. If it looks a little empty after a while, then that's a good incentive to get a bigger monitor down the track (",)
