Title: Mame auto resetting to default controls??

Anyone know why or how this is happening? Happened to me a few times now.

what version and flavor of MAME are you using?  This kind of information would be helpful.

Mame version - 0.126u4

No idea what flavor - how do I find that out?

I found a bug whereby if you turned on an XB360 wireless controller while MAME was running it would crash on exit, corrupting your files

I fixed that in 134u2

It might be related, as I doubt the issue was limited to XB360 pads, and could possibly have happened if the system detects anything as plugged / unplugged during execution

has this definitely been fixed with new versions of mame (0.140 >)?
