Hey guys,
I'd like to offer New Englanders who are either, new to carpentry or are first time Cab builders, my cabinet templates. The sides are generally the harder part of building a cab. So, if anyone is interested, I'll cut you a template so that YOU can cut your side panels. I can even do the sides for you. Check out my site, maybe it can help.

He offers something for free and you bust on him about his prices? :dunno

What is he offering for free exactly?

Maybe I misunderstood. I thought he was giving away the templates.
I'll shut up now.

I should have put the price up in the first place. $45 for a template. The cabs are $325 because I'm selling them to people who can't do all the work. I used to have them for less, but I was only making $20 off of them. It's not mini like the table top style. It's 5 feet tall.
Do you guys think the price is too high? There is a guy near me building full size cabs for around $650 to $1200.
-
$325 is very reasonable considering the work involved and $45 for a template is a good deal too. Do you have plans for the cab? I'd like to build one myself but I dont need a template =)

Do a search noob!
Cabinets Plans
Any design that I have can be bought as plans with all measurements and dimensions. Each part is also described in detail, Advice on how to assemble everything after your cut it out is included.

*pwned* =( lol
his fault for expecting me to click a link.

FWIW, I think that the prices are reasonable and the product looks good.

Hey, I don't want people bad mouthing each other over my advertisment. If it's being directed at me then I have no idea what you are talking about. Please try not to call people noob when responding to my posts. You were ne to something once too, so don't be a jerk.
I do sell plans for any arcade cab. I have a bunch of original plans that are digitized. I recreate them in Sketchup in 2D and 3D. I'll even make you plans based on some thing you come up with.

That particular phrasing was appropriate and is a running joke amongst folks on a particular arcade-related board, of which Mal and I are both members. It was an obvious joke, as was his response about you expecting him to click a link instead of just spoon-feeding all of the information in a single post.
Please try not to call people jerk when responding to my posts. They might decide that you are cast in the same vein as the last guy who tried to sell templates here. As I recall, that didn't work out too well. >:D

Now I dont even wanna ask how much the free shipping is. :lol

I didn't mean to be so stuffy. Sometime forums get negative though, do you know what I mean? I feel badly about posting the templates for sale now. I just thought I could make some extra money. By-the-way, free shipping is $20, plus mileage.

Pay no attention to Cheffo, Josh. He's.....special.

You noticed that he called me a jerk, right ?
::)
First rule of being a vendor in an online community: don't respond, particularly in a negative way, to irrelevant posts that aren't directed at you.
The best that Josh could have hoped for is that I was, indeed, being an ---uvula---, in which case he should have just reported the post (using that handy little link) instead of squaring off against me.
But, Mal's right, it's no issue at all and I love the thought of folks selling templates.

That's the best you've got? Come on, man, I expected more from you... ;D

Oops ... must have hit Post by mistake ... there was more, you dumbass Okie!
;)

Actually, he said for you not to be one. He must've known that you have the propensity to become one. :lol

That's good to know. I've never done this before. I only started a few months ago. I'm glad for the feedback though. I'm trying to sell templates and plans because I can't really compete with EmDKay and the X Arcade. Once I get the money together for a nice workshop I hope to crank out a bunch of parts and maybe sell a few complete cabs.

Just get your brother to do a video advertising your stuff and I'm sure you'll have no problem selling it :)
-
He puts out posts on Facebook once in a while. But, those guys are mostly kids with no money.

A lot of people in this community are fans. Nathan's stuff mostly appeals to guys in their 30s and up.
-
That's good to know. He's working on a new Keith right now, and there should be a Street Fighter II edition on Button Smashers coming soon also.

"those guys"? Who? Facebook users?
:laugh2:

My brother's fans. Now that I think about it, my description does seem to pertain to the stereotype. I have a facebook account. Mostly to keep in touch with my brothers. I'm not sure why other people have them, or why the news seems to think it's important.
-
I only follow your brother's antics on youtube. I hate Facebook....
