Title: Joystick switch operation help!
Post by: idsane on August 27, 2010, 04:33:16 pm
I just put together a CP, with one Happ comp and one super. The comp seemed really hard to hit diags, but now I see that the bottom switch isn't fully activating when you hear the click. Can I just open up the switch and bend the connector or is this a bad idea?  :dunno

Here is a link to a thread where various problems are occuring with the comp joysticks.  If one switch is always iffy you can try replacing it.  Getting inside the switch itself will probably not help it.

Thanks Bob. I definitely have a bad switch then and will get a replacement from the retailer I bought it from. The one switch isn't acting in an 'all or none' fashion. I also noticed on that thread where this was mentioned

"There should be no tension on the actuator from the E-clip.  The E-clip should only be putting tension on the inner sleeve."

I don't see how that works? On both my super and my comp, I had to compress the actuators against the spring in order to put the e-clip on.
