all i can say is MAYBE... the wii is somewhat particular when it comes to the adapter. it just plain old doesn't like some of them.
if you can get one from someplace that has a good return policy, then do that. i tried 3 enclosures... 2 of them worked, one didn't.

link to working cases??

I bought one of [these (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2-5-SATA-USB-HARD-DRIVE-CADDY-HDD-CASE-ENCLOSURE-/270485016180?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_Collectables_HardDriveEnclosures_RL&hash=item3efa29ce74)].
It was uber cheap, works 100% and takes power from USB so no external PSU is required.
Obviously I bought that one from a UK seller. I'm sure you should be able to find one on ebay.com but worst case scenario I could always ship one over for you if you can't find one. I'm sure someone else will post a compatible one that you can pick up locally though

allright I am gonna go ahead and order one with return policy. thanks..

I have used the Western Digital (passport?) 2.5" external usb drives. They work great, and the prices on them keep dropping. I think buy.com had the 320gb refurbs for like $40 shipped. I used a 320, and its only like 1/4 full. I don't expect to fill it anytime soon.
(plus, no power supply needed. bonus!)

I ordered this one. works perfect with wbfs manager/wii flow. using a 40gig hitachi drive that was in my ps3. no power supply needed. woot!

If you decide to upgrade to a bigger hdd, HP pocket media drive worked great, hacked my bro's system for his bday and gave him a 320 gb version. He was very happy. $78 and free shipping for a 500gb version

new mario bros and re4 are the only wii games I played for more than like half hour. re4 is a port.

These work great; just picked one up last week at Wal-Mart and installed about 120GB of games onto it with plenty of room to spare (320GB). Cost about 70.00 USD. It also has an option to keep the drive turned on instead of entering a sleep mode after 30 minutes of use, which you DEFINITELY need if you want to play for a while.

It wasn't. It was ZWQXOMG AWEZOME!!!
Seriously, what didn't you like about it? Sure, it was pretty darn easy to accumulate lives, as is any Mario game, but it is great fun.
...There are some games, but like pbj said, good luck finding enough games. You're better off partitioning a larger one off. Have most of it for backups and whatnot, while a small portion is for Wii games. That's what I have, and I still have plenty o' room.

I dunno..was kinda repetitive. guess I am just tired of VGs in general.. :dunno
