Title: I feel obligated to build a bartop.
Post by: BadMouth on August 25, 2010, 12:00:54 am
I got this pile of parts + multiple old CRT monitors + 2/3 sheet of MDF left over from my driving cab control panel.
I'm not sure I want a bartop, but the parts just keep falling into place.
Every time I pass them, they call to me to help them become something   :-\

The computer is only good enough to run the early 80's games, which screams 4-way vertical.
Part of me would rather just add a 4-way stick to my main CP, but it's all just sitting there waiting to be assembled.

All I'd have to buy is a keyboard encoder (or learn to hack a keyboard).   :dunno

must...finish....driving cab first......

buy a cheap game pad from GGG and hack it. Thats what I did and it was waaaay easier and better than a keyboard hack

I have an x-box street fighter pad that I absolutely hate (came with the SFIV). .
Not sure whether to try to hack it or sell it.
I'll probably tear it apart and experiment with it after the driving cab is done.
