:o Indeed, sorry... Its even stickied... Let me ask, since it is open source software, If I fixed a copy of 139 for my use and posted it would anyone care?
-
The MAME devs discourage posting recompiled versions of MAME like this. We like to keep the MAME devs happy ;D

You must have an older computer - it takes 11 minutes for me to compile, and mine is only a Core 2 Duo...

I have a dual core 1.6 GHZ processor, 3GB RAM and it took 2 hours..

I am compiling a fresh one and it has been going for 45 minutes and still going, am I doing something wrong you think or is this normal?
-
Took two hours again and there were no mame.exe files in my source directory...
I downloaded HeadKaze's compilier and I'm running it now... Its a lot easier than the other way.

mame compiler 64 or whatever the name is, makes it easyer too me, i stll have 138 so i couldnt tell what wrong with you not getting a mame.exe, however on my pc a p4 it always takes about 2 hours too if im using the computer, but if i let the compiling process along , it takes about 30 minutes...

Still seems kind of long. I'm running a 3GHz machine, with Windows 7 64bit and compiling Mame 64bit...
