I'm building a cabinet and will use a mini-ipac and Hyperspin as my frontend. To play Amiga games I was counting on using winuaeloader since everyone says it's perfect for Hyperspin. And it does look like it.
So I was testing changing the keyboard controls so that later on when I connect my ipac everything would be already setup, ran into a big problem it seems that it doesn't work.
I was using the latest winuae version and found out winuaeloader simply didn't work with that one, no matter what I did it always kept the defaults. So then tried with 1.61 and 1.60 and it does seem to do something, but doesn't work at all.
Basically I want to configure the keyboard for player 1 and 2. So in Winuaeloader I choose keyboard A for port 0 and keyboard B for port 1, then I tick the enable checkbox on both Keyboard A and Keyboard B and do the mappings I want.
I run the rom from winuaeloader and I simply can't do anything on the game no matter what buttons I press. So what am I doing wrong here? Is this supposed to work?
If I use WinUAE as standalone and do the configurations there everything works as expected of course.
Any help is appreciated

I'm aware of this problem, and have some of the code in place for using WinUAE's built in key configuration. The problem is I haven't had time to finish it. If I thought there was someone that could do it I would open source the project. But from experience this never works out too well. So all I can say is fingers crossed I'll find some time to fix it. It's pretty hard finding time for working on free software these days unfortunately.

Thanks for the answer, but you mean you need to code it for it to work with the recent winuae versions right? If I'm not mistaken only 2.20 has the new config keys screens.
But wasn't key config through winuaeloader working with some previous winuae versions? Because I see some people saying it works fine for them. If I have to use a specific winuae version for this to work I can live with that until you have some time to look at this issue, I know how hard it is to find time.

Firstly, Thanks for your wonderful software headkaze - I use a number of your programs, very useful!
I hope you can find the time headkaze, this would open up a new world of amiga programs to lots of cab/fe users
Thanks again!
