Title: Adding XBox 360 to Mame Cabinet? (NOT Replace)
Post by: highholyme on August 23, 2010, 11:01:21 am
Finally started to get the parts for my mame cab, and I am just tickled frickin pink.
Recently had an old 360 donated by my brother in law, the drive is shot but the rest works fine. Thought I might JTAG it up and load my games onto the hard drive. (I have a fully working 360 myself.)
Then I began to wonder, would it be possible to adapt the in-progress control panel to work with both my pc AND the 360?

Mostly want the 360 in for some of the more recent fighters that probably won't see a PC release. (Super Street Fighter 4, Marvel vs. Capcom 3, etc.)

Anyone have any experience with this? I was hoping to maybe set up the encoders on a switch or something, i'm hoping to avoid needing two sets of control panels.

You can hack a pair of wired 360 controllers, and use that for both your 360 and PC (360 controllers work on PC).

Didn't even think of that, partially because I am doing a 4 Player CP.
That might work however.
