XGaming shows that this has been discontinued. The WG site shows none available. I ordered one last week just in case and the price has gone up $50 already. Mine came today and I am very impressed so far. It will be sad if these are no longer available.
Anyone have any more specific information?

I thought ALL manufacturers quit making CRT's a while back.
-
Not so much with 27", but nobody is making 19".

Yes, they are discontinued and unfortunately it was one of the last tri-sync 27" monitors on the market :(
Thankfully I have two in stock but it looks like my next cab will be LCD based :(

I was just thinking of selling my benson 27"... Maybe if I wait 6 months, it will be worth more! (I still wish I sold my act labs guns in that 6 month period where they where going for 250+ on ebay... sigh)

What about the Billabs? Is that gone too? I notice that their website kicks back the message, "This website is temporarily unavailable, please try again later."

Edit: But I did find this.. (but no 27" models): http://www.weiya.com.tw/products.asp?le=english&fid=86 (http://www.weiya.com.tw/products.asp?le=english&fid=86)

I spoke to Bil of Billabs a couple of days ago, they are still a going concern as far as I know.

I called Wells-Gardner about two weeks ago, and was able to snag one of their last 10 of these. Am building my first cabinet, thought I'd go this route.
I was able to put this in my homemade cabinet over the weekend, it's a beast of a monitor. I hope the cost for the unit and the bezel was worth it (~$500).
P.S. First post, will be needing a lot of hand-holding over the next few months! :banghead:

I purchased one directly from Wells Gardner last month.
I received it the next day. (It only had to go about 250 miles.)
It was manufactured in November of 2009.

Absolutely...I have ZERO regrets...its an authentic picture when paired with the right video card/utility and can't be beat. I just pray mine will last the long haul but again I have a spare so <knock on wood> ;)

I emailed Wells Gardner today and one of their sales reps confirmed it has been discontinued. Sounds like they built up their inventory a few months ago with all the remaining CRT's and they are all now sold. I suspect that XGaming bought some of the remaining inventory as you can still buy the D9800 through them. But when those are gone they are gone.
WG is working on an LCD replacement for the D9800 but it will not be a 4:3 ratio monitor.
Thankfully I have two in stock but it looks like my next cab will be LCD based :(
I'm tempted to go your route and buy another one just in case.

Wow. Glad I bought mine not even 2 months ago. Now someone reassure me and tell me it will last for 25 years +. :-[
