Title: help replacing a potentiometer
Post by: shfifty on August 19, 2010, 04:22:54 am
hey guys. I'm replacing a potentiometer from a set of logitech x230's, so that i can mount a volume knob on my cab.

However after opening up the speakers i noticed that the logitech potentiometer is mounted on a tiny PCB with 6 pins, not three. As far as i know, all potentiometers have only three pins. So can i assume that there's just 3 pairs of common pins, or is something else going on here?

I'm just guessing, but if these are stereo speakers, you probably have 2 sets of inputs that the potentiometer is adjusting and sending to 2 outputs (you know, stereo).  I could be wrong though.
