Post by: daywane on August 16, 2010, 08:18:50 pm
A person I know at work is a gadget freak.
He has up graded to I phone 4 and offered me his I phone for $100.00.
all hardware to conect to PC.

He tells me I can use it as a I touch mp3 player.

any problems you guys see I do not?

Depending on how old it is; that is a good deal - they routinely sell for much more than that on eBay.

Battery might eventually stop holding a charge but if you are handy they can be replaced.

"Factory refurbished" iPod Touches sell for $150 on Apple's online store.

the hardware to connect is just a lead so this doesn't sweeten the deal just so you know
the size of storage capacity, will 16GB  be enough for you?
will it definitely work without an active sim card, i'm not so sure! will keeping a sim card active cost you over the time you own the device?
18 months in my iphone is starting to lose battery performance and the hardware is failing a bit,  but i'm pretty clumsy with it

Go for it. You can use it as a "PDA". I loved my Ipod Touch and upgraded to iphone recently.

16GB was barely enough, but I ripped about 200 CDs to it (over 2000 songs).
