So I want to power a jamma pcb board with a atx power supply, is there a tutorial for that? I am replacing the monitor with an lcd screen so the atx power supply will just be for the pcb board.

Thanks but using the pc power supply is something i want to do afew times. I have 3 cabinets that i want to upgrade.

All you need is a paper clip or small jumper wire to turn on an ATX supply. Make sure there is some load on the supply (a fan will do) when you turn it on so it will not turn off as some do for safety.

Sweet, that was just what i was looking for. Is there any thing i need inbetween the power supply and the mother board or can i wire it strait up?

I'd do some research on LCD's and JAMMA game video outputs and resolutions before going too much further. (unless you've already looked into that of course)

I picked up a jamma to vga converter to take care of that.

And don't forget to check to see if the game requires -5V before you get too far along.

The like color wires are usually connected together such as red yellow and black for 5V 12V and GRND. Some people will put a power resistor on the 5V supply to provide a load if nothing is plugged in such as a 10 ohm 5 Watt. Don't know if this is needed on the newer supplies. An LED and resistor is always good to provide power on indication.
