Title: Wavy Arcade Monitor
Post by: Chappie on August 14, 2010, 10:07:03 am
I installed a cap kit that did not solve a pretty noticeable wave action on a WG 7xxx monitor. I have tested two JAMMA type games on this monitor and they both do the same thing. The left and right sides of the monitor have a good wave going through them. The games look good on another monitor. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Steve

i would have thought maybe the mains smoothing cap(which i doubt is part of any cap kit) or maybe something to do with the degauss circuit

Or filter cap as some call it...... just look for the biggest cap on there, near the power input.

Also measure the B+ voltage. If it's low it'll wave something like that.
