Can you tell me how?
I don't know if this is possible (but I bet someone has done it or software exists).
I have several PC games on CD's that I would like to be able to copy to my HDD so I don't have to load the CD everytime I want to play.
suggestions or links would be greatly appreciated.
thanks guys!

Make an ISO, use Daemon Tools or Alcohol 120% to mount.

or install the game then get a nocd patch
some games remove the need to have the cd/dvd in the drive with a mature patch (maybe 6months or later after release)
other games give you the option to play without the disc, but you must validate online
daemontools and similar will work with some games, but more often than not the games have anti piracy measures to prevent this. This is generally known as 'schoolyard piracy' as its very easy to do and sounds like it should work.

Virtual CloneDrive works good too.
