I'm looking to buy an auction for a monitor, but I'd like to know some good questions to ask him before I do. To help me determine if I really should buy it.
The item description reads as such.
This item is a Panasonic 27" CRT stereo color video computer monitor, model CT-2788YD. The monitor is suitable for a MAME installation in most 25" or larger monitor cabinets. Or, the CRT can be removed from its case, and used to replace a bad or broken CRT in a 27" monitor arcade video game.
The shipping reads as such,
I have tried to describe and photogragh the item and it's condition fairly and accurately. And, price it accordingly, because returns are not permitted, unless item is not exactly as described. If you have any questions, please contact me before bidding or purchasing.
In addition, if anybody has any knowledge about this particular model, that would be great as well.
Thank you in advance,
Valentino

That model number is not a computer monitor. It has no VGA input only BNC and svideo. You would have to treat it as a TV.

Ya... your right, it is a TV. I need to get my terminology down better. But what I wanted to know was, what questions could I ask the seller that would help me determine if I should by it. I know the obvious one's like, is it badly scratch, or why are you selling it? But I was hoping for some more insightfull questions... Something I could ask that would be more revealing.

If screen scratches are a bother then definately ask. Not worth asking why he is selling he could tell you anything and it really doesnt matter unless he is selling because it does not work. Ask for a picture of the TV with something showing on the screen so you can judge for yourself.
