Howdy,
I have a question about some vertical game's res, more specifically the Psikyo (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psikyo (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psikyo)) games res.
Most vertical games I have seen are basically a 4:3 monitor rotated on it's end, but the Psikyo shooters seem to have almost a widescreen resolution rotated on it's end.
Am I missing something here, as on KLOV it just states the Arcade Monitor Type as "standard" same as Donkey Kong for example.
I have a cab that is using a CRT computer monitor, and when I play DK for example it letter box's the side (no stretch on), but when I play one of the Psikyo games it letter box's the side more.
I have access to some cheap LCD's so I was considering making a shooter cab, and the Psikyo games are some of my fav, I just wanted to know if I should get a widescreen LCD or standard.
Sorry if that wasn't articulated very well, I;m at work, to I was rushing!
Any clarification appreciated, cheers.

As far as I am aware, all Psikyo games are in 4:3 ratio - I play them all the time on a rotated vertical (4:3) monitor - they look perfect to me.
You may get slight borders on some of the games, but if you got a widescreen monitor and rotated that, you would have larger borders (providing you keep the aspect ratio)
