Title: Using videos instead of pictures for tree menu snaps
Post by: Seith on August 03, 2010, 11:11:54 am
Is Mala capable of displaying a video in place of a picture for tree menu selections?  i.e. having a tree show:

main
|
 -GBA
|
 -N64

and having Mala point to a folder with .avi files named "main_GBA.avi" and "main_N64.avi" ?

I am not sure if you can do that in a tree?

You can do it in a normal game list.

In the layout editor look at properties on the Game List and select Image List

I have not tried it with a Tree?  I may work.

In the layout editor, my layout does not have a "Snaps" box defined, but rather a "Video" box.  I assume the contents of the "Tree Snaps" directory (defined in the GUI options of MaLa) will only show up in a "Snaps" box.  Just to test, I added a "Snaps" box to my layout and looked at the properties... looks like .avi isn't listed.  Is there a chance that a future version of MaLa could have the functionality of putting videos to tree nodes added in, or would that just be  :dizzy: :hissy: :timebomb:
