Title: Yet another MS. PAC MAN restoration
Post by: RayB on August 02, 2010, 03:19:37 pm
She's in rough shape, but working.

Control panel being stripped (so weird how some colors stick to the adhesive like this), and the full cabinet:

You can't start a restoration thread with just pics of the control panel!  Let's see the whole cab.

Control panel repainted, and overlay applied + nice shiny new carriage bolts.

*I need an e clip so I can reinstall the joystick. Anybody holding? Size 1/4

A decent hardware store should have E clips.

Does such a thing even exist anymore? All I can think of is Home Depot and similar stores.... ?!?

Irony of irony, after going to a store today and picking up a couple eclips, later I decided to clean out the crap in the bottom of my "new" Road Kings pin and what do I find? An e-clip, exact size too.

I put the e-clip there for you, Ray.

You're psychic!
No, I will not bother with stenciling. I will either attempt hand touch-up of the front and sides so it's "good enough" or get a repro sticker for the front. That's as far as I want to go with this one. I have a feeling I will sell it one day, especially if I get my hands on a cabaret style Ms Pac.
