Title: padded handrests?
Post by: transfan on July 28, 2010, 03:08:11 pm
has anyone ever installed padded handrests onto their cab (if you have short, angled cp, for instance)

Thinking about making one with a hinge that can lift up if needed or go back down, maybe made out of leather or vinyl with the cab's logo on it.

 ;)

Seriously though, I don't recall ever seeing that, but it could work. Would kind of have that same look as some bars.

Office Depot? Like for a keyboard/mouse/desk?

I'm working on designing one right now, actually (though it's a few weeks away from ready for BYOAC "Peer Review"  :laugh2:)  I think it'll work nicely, as in the pic that RayB posted: like a bar's or a poker table's arm/wrist rest.

The cab I'm designing is a sit-down (a la most Japanese cabs) so it makes sense to have the feature.  Were you thinking about doing it for a stand-up cab?

I've already "hired" my Textile User gf to help me upholster/stuff the thing!  Hooray for game-friendly women!  ;D
