Hey i got a speed race cabinet a few days ago (old old old 1974 cabinet) and the PCB had some problems and i did a few things and replaced the caps and the board works sound controls etc but no video.
I'm pretty sure its the board as it had a sync problem and i saw the game on the monitor kinda but now i see nothing.
i'm wondering if the video should look like the picture below thats what it looks like if the game is pluged into the cabinet or not.

All I can really see is some heavy burn in. Most black and white titles have insane burn in. My Amazing Maze had a freaking GRID burned into it.

Thats the thing tho it's not burnin it just comes up like that the monitor really hasn't been used at all.
When the board was kinda working i could see that it had no burnin on the monitor so i dont know what the hell that is :(

If you don't see those marks when the thing is off then it's probably not burn in. If you see those marks when the monitor is off then I promise it's burn-in. Looks like burn-in to me...

I dont see them marks when its off and i actually got my game working (think i have bad wires connecting ot the plug) and that image wasnt there.
Still theres always a chance it could be burnin but i dont think it is.
My only problem is i can't get the video to showup aymore i got it to showup for a few secs and i got it showing for about 30 secs then it lost the signal and i'm sure its the connector cause i was moving the wires and thats when the monitor showed the image.
have to check out the wires and make sure they are ok.
