Title: Removing joystick from control panel.
Post by: Grec on July 22, 2010, 05:43:41 pm
Hey guys, I'm currently restoring a Tetris machine I picked up. I'm attempting to put in a new bezel behind the control panel, but can't seem to be able to remove the joy sticks. What is the process to remove them?

Photos help, but I can channel Kreskin.

...

Use a flat screwdriver to remove the "E" clip on the bottom of the joystick shaft. THen pull the joystick shaft up and out (remember the orientation of all the parts that will now fall off, such as the actuator, springs, and other parts).

Now you're free to unbolt the base and you're done.

Not sure why you would need to remove the joysticks to install a bezel. Like stated above, pics will help here.

The control panel probably has two latches on the inside holding it in place.  Reach up through the coin door and you can unhook them.  Once that is done, you should be able to move the entire control panel out of the way.
