(PSA: Looks like they disabled hot-linking on those photos, but they work when I open them in a new window)

From the first photo it really looks like they put some effort into keeping the live action players in the (visual) spirit of the comic characters -- great to see that.

Speaking of which... how do you think they'll handle the... uh... (trying not to write anything even remotely spoiler-ish, but I'm not sure I'll succeed so here it is in small font)... bandaged stump that you-know-who has... assuming they keep that part of the story...

Thanks for sharing! Going to save this for after work...

AMC is allowing them to go full gore, and language is allowed except for F and C, pretty much.

KNB is doing the effects work and it looks like they are doing their best work yet.

As for the thing you mentioned in very small writing, Kirkman has always regretted doing that to him and it probably won't happen this time around.

I liked it better when they called it A Scanner Darkly.

Totally different thing. A Scanner Darkly is rotoscoped. The motion comic took the original drawings and animated them.

the best part is the pop up for a screen saver then the hotwire commercial I have to watch before every video.

Keep in mind one thing:

"The Walking Dead" refers to the survivors, not the zombies. It's about the people left in this world gone wrong. Sometimes a whole issue goes by without a single zombie in it.

Nice!  Yeh my girlfriend got me hooked on this.  She gets to check out free books & comics from the art/game school she attends so shes always bringin home random stuff, sometimes cool, sometimes ehh.. sometimes.. I wonder.. if.. she knows me....  anyway one day she brought home The Walking Dead Volume 9 (paperback) issues #49-54 and that's where I started in.  I read it and was like, wtf, where's issues 1-48!???

Loved the part where he took the phone with him in the back pack.  Now he has a corded cell phone!

You gotta get ahold of the rest. It's such an awesome series. Here's a leaked video of the trailer for the TV series from San Diego Comic-con:

They had a cool set up at the comic con. Their whole booth was a set piece from the show, they had props, and you could take your pictures with em and everything. It was glorious.

Wow, that looks really good.  I've always been a sucker for zombie movies, ever since I first saw Night of the Living Dead when I was 10 or so.  Theres never really been a zombie TV show (that I know of at least), so I'm starting to get excited about this one :)

Keep in thoughts one thing:

"The Jogging Dead" represents the children, not the zombies. It's about the individuals eventually left in this community gone incorrect. Sometimes a whole concern goes by without 1 zombie in it.

I have to learn the fine art of taking someone else's post and running it through a translator until the walking dead is turned into "the jogging dead"  ::)

I need to discover the detailed painting of acquiring someone else's shaft and jogging it between an interpreter meanwhile the jogging deceased is diverted into "the walking dead"  ::)

I youngjohned that for you.

:laugh2: I love how it re-translated the jogging dead back into the walking dead.

And for the record, I am not looking into "acquiring someone else's shaft" nor discovering a detailed painting of that either. We can leave that for Lori, because we all know she is a that are.
