Title: In college? Get Amazon Prime for free! (free 2-day, $3.99 overnight shipping)
Post by: shmokes on July 15, 2010, 03:37:16 pm
No joke.  All you need is a .edu email address.  And you don't need to give them a credit card or anything like that so it's not like you'll forget about it and then get billed $80 when it auto-renews in a year.  It's just no-strings-attached free membership for a year ($80 value).  Awesome.  Also, there's no minimum order for these shipping benefits so you no longer have to make sure you have a $25 minimum order to qualify (like super saver shipping).

Thanks for the heads up.

I just signed up through my wife and placed my first order.  2-day free shipping is sweet!  I was getting tired of padding my orders to get free shipping. The Prime status was even added to my existing account which is convenient.

Well, lets hope that degree helps you get a better paying job too.  I actually found out my cousin in construction is making more than I'll ever make with my degree  :(
