Post by: danny_galaga on July 12, 2010, 06:31:53 am: Saw an amazing documentary a few weeks ago about a para glider pilot who got sucked up into a thunderstorm. I couldn't find the repeat at the time, but have now. You have 3 days to watch it!

Amazing story. The altitude she was at is comparable to the altitudes that commercial airlines fly. I can't believe she was able to survive the cold and low oxygen environment.

Yeah, they were a bit tardy about separating dramatisations from actual footage. I've heard other people complain about that. But it certainly added to it. Like when her canopy collapses, my stomach dropped just a little ;D
