Title: Diode Replacement on WG4953
Post by: korendog on July 11, 2010, 11:37:14 pm
This chassis is blowing the fuse on the chassis board and it has blown the fuse on my test bench.  I'm suspecting it is one of the diodes. The monitor manual list these numbers for the diode (201X3120-216) Diode, RM-1AV  These numbers are greek to me and I tried Radio Shack, but of course they have no clue.  Could someone translate these for me so I can find suitable replacements.  I'm pretty sure Bob Roberts would stock these but I have no idea what to purchase.

The RM-1AV crosses to an NTE116

Specs on that appear identical to a 1N4005.  You could also use a 1N4006 or 1N4007 if those are easier to find.  Depending on the application, a 1N4004 might work (rated 400V instead of 600V, but the original may be overspec'd), and those are really easy to get.  I think Radio Shack still has them.
