I might be getting in some used 25" monitors. There will be a mixture of standard and medium resolution monitors. These monitors should have no screen burn, and will be tested and working.
I am just wondering if anyone will be insterested in buying a monitor for around $150.
Monitors would be available for pick-up in Ohio 45885.

Ooohhh... where in Ohio? Northern, middle or south-western?
-
I might be interested as well... do you have any info as in the brands of monitors you might be getting? My cabinet has a Hanatarex 9110 that has some burn in, and is doing a wierd in-and-out of focus thing so I'd love to pick up a better one.

Yea, and I'm just east of Cleveland, so I want to know how far of a drive I got ;)
-
What about shipping to.... *hides head in shame*
Delaware?

Yea... I know, but unlike Deleware, we got more than 1 zip code here :P
Would be easier for him to just mention which of the 5 regions of Ohio he lived near (Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinatti, Toledo, Other) than me find a zip code looker-upper. ;)
Then again in the time it took me to write that...

well Delaware (aka DelaWHERE?) has too many, we have 3 counties (I know your laughing at that) and like 20 zip codes each. I live in Newark 19713, but ACROSS THE STREET is 19711, and down the road in 19702 hehehe
but I'd get a monitor for the guy if he'd ship em. Ive been looking for a 19" monitor forever for my SF cab, but I can make a 25 fit, just hafta do some work on the mounts.
Ciao

I might be interested. I live in Westerville, just north of Columbus. When would they be available ?

WOAH! :o That's a lot dude!
It's like every state was handed out the same number of Zip codes, and while Ohio said "That's about right" and California was figuring out how thin to spread them, Deleware said "Cool! Let's use them all!" :D

Hey, I live in the Cleveland area. Know of anything like arcade machine auctions or such going on in the area? (or interest groups or what not?)

Just go to yahoo maps...

...and punch in my zip 45885
It will show you right where I am...

="Other" :-/
Yup, that's a hike for me. People who live in Indiana might also be interested though, and I do get out that way about twice a year.

Mr Arcade... can you ship to 19713 (newark,De)
-
Any more information on this? I would be interested in picking up a medium resolution monitor...
-
I should know more in the next week or so. I will start a new thread when I post the new info.

Any word on the monitors Mr. Arcade? I'm in Kentucky, and would be willing to make the trip up.

Garvv, I live in KY too...you know anywhere around here (lexington) that would have a decent deal on a gutted cabinet? I tried KY Game Exchange today, but all they had was fully working games. I don't need the PCB and all that stuff....just a good cab. I REALLY like the TMNT design the best. I don't like my nose right up against the glass on those fully upright models ;D
-
I bought my cab from KY Game Exchange, luckily they had an all black dynamo jamma cab in great shape, but the tekken 2 board in it was flaky (the game would start acting wierd after a half hour or so of play), so I got a decent deal on it.
Maybe hit an auction in ohio? If you're not gonna make your own cab, I'd recommend buying a working cab that's in good condition (with no sideart or anything else you have to strip/redo). If you look at some of the cost breakdowns people have on the web, they spent more money restoring a cruddy cab than they would have buying a nice one to start with. The redone cruddy cabs that do actually wind up looking nice seem to have required almost as much effort, tools, and workspace as cabs built from scratch.
What price range are you looking in?

So you already built you a MAME Machine? Do you live around Lex? I talked to someone who was going to an auction this past weekend and called me from there and said they had a TMNT cab with no monitor and no back, but otherwise good condition. It ended up going for $160 :( I told him not to get it if it went over 100...stupid me, but without seeing it I had no clue how much it was worth :-/
I think I might hit a few auctions up in the next couple months to see what I find. I'm just going to have to figure out a way to haul the cab I buy back to Lexington cause I don't think my hatchback will cut it hahahaha ;D
