SOLD OUT
Thanks all who ordered.
I have a number of unused, new in box/new old stock WICO micro switch ball top joysticks. PM orders please.
• Original NOS Wicos with original box and instructions (NOT the notorious cheap Chinese knockoffs)
• Microswitch
• 8 Way ball top
• 3.5" shaft
• Rubber grommet
• Dustwashers
• These are NOT leaf switch sticks. I do not have access to leaf switch sticks, sorry.
Available colors:
Red Sold Out
Orange Sold Out
Purple Sold Out
Yellow Sold Out
Green Sold Out
Price is $12 each plus shipping. Cheaper than a Happ Super for a NOS Wico!
Shipping costs via USPS Priority Mail:
Qty Price
1 $7
2 - 6 $12
To order PM me
•Indicate color and quantity of each.
•Include your name and shipping address.
•Include your email address
•Your order will be confirmed when I send you my paypal info
•PayPal only
•International shipping OK, shipping cost may be higher. (UK $19)
I will bubble wrap the ball top shaft prior to shipping since Wico's original packaging allows the ball top to rattle around with the other parts. These are as mint as you can get. Any slight marks on the ball are from the factory shipping and storage in unopened boxes.

Can these be used in a leaf Wico (ie replace all the worn parts?)
Can you sell just the sticks with the ball tops at a cheaper rate?

Unfortunately I can't justify parting them out. The rubber grommet, dust washer and ball/stick could be used in a leaf Wico. Obviously the switches couldn't. I'll have to look more closely to see if anything else is swappable.
-
Can you tell me whether the shafts on these are interchangeable with the ones used on the Wico leaf bases?
Also, can you tell me approximately how much it would cost to ship two to the UK?
Thanks

Decided to start selling these again, so... bump.
-
and bump. I have quite a few of these... would it make sense to get a sticky until they're gone?

Hey, guys- has anyone used these types of sticks? I'm thinking of picking one up and was wondering how they felt with 4-way and 8-way games. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Holiday bump.

Quick mini-review:
I decided to spoil myself for Xmas and get one of these. I picked up a purple one to match my 4-way cab (I may convert it to an 8 way and use this).
The stick feels great! The rubber centering grommet really makes a difference. The stick feels nice and tight. The stick is solid and just feels... right.
I'm going to build a test panel to see how it feels, but for the price and quick turnaround (I didn't have to wait 8 years for it, unlike Mission Control), you can't go wrong. The only negative is that he didn't throw in a DVD of "The Final Countdown"!

DOH! Opportunity missed!
Thanks for the feedback. :)

Bump for modified shipping costs. Found a way to box and ship a single joystick for less. :)
-
aaaaand... bump
-
Damn- my itchy finger wants to pull the trigger on another one of these.
-
Is there a dimensions on the base somewhere? L, W, and hole spacing. I want to see if these will fit my existing cab without modification.

If Pixelhugger doesn't have time to post an answer, I'll measure mine and post it when I get home.

PM sent for six sticks.

I joined this forum just to inquire about these sticks!
I had gotten a pair of Happ Ultimate Joysticks for fairly cheap with some buttons through an eBay deal, and unfortunately, while the sticks seemed durable and high-quality, they seem to be terrible at diagonals. I even did some internet research and discovered that this is sort of unanimous among the forum posts I've seen. Some had advised the IL Competition Joystick instead but those seem to be hard to come by these days.
So my question is, are these joysticks you are selling considered better or on par with the IL Competition Joysticks? I'll buy two in a second if they fare well with fighters. Thanks!

Hmmmm. Not sure about the fighters. My take is that people usually play fighters with bat top sticks. I don't have any IL sticks to compare. Anyone else able to chime in? Yotsuya?
-
I've got 4 of these on my MAME cab now (bought from Pixelhugger), and I really like them for fighters. I consider them a great all-around stick.
-
Hey, I've decided to buy two of your joysticks...however I can't send any PMs yet. Should I shoot you an email instead?
-
Yes. Email me at mitch@stitchediting.tv.

I shot you over an email on Friday. Let me know if you never got it. I'll send one more to confirm.

Can Anyone Tell Me If These Are Good On Games Like Dig Dug,Pacman,Etc...
You Know The Classic Up/Down/Side To Side Games?
-
Only if you can find the proper 4-way actuator. They come with an 8-way square actuator.
On the instructions, they show a round one available for 4-way directional control.
You can ask around if anybody may have some or you could experiment with a lathe, but it may not be worth the effort. These are great ultra rugged joysticks for 8-way action and I like them a LOT!
Cheers!

These are pretty good 8-way sticks, but they are not suited for 4-way action at all. You are better off with the Namco Reunion stick or the Happ Universal if you want a nice crisp 4-way. The path of movement on these isn't even close to being suitable for 4-way games.
