I have run into this here (http://safebrowsing.clients.google.com/safebrowsing/diagnostic?site=http://devisionsharks.ru/news/index.php&client=googlechrome&hl=en-GB) problem a couple of times when browsing this site, whats the cause of it?
For example this link
http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=91010.0 (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=91010.0)
gives me this screen

thanks

Weird, I see nothing in that thread that would have anything to do with that .ru site.
-
Neither do I. I suspect something's happened on your computer, unless someone else chimes in that they see the same. Have you verified you duplicate the problem with a different browser, or a different computer?
-
OK, just tried the link on my netbook - same problem with google chrome.
PC = win7 x64
Netbook = xp x86
Done a antimalware and antivirus scan on both systems, they are clean.
This is the only website that gives me this problem, i havent seen it on anything else.
When you tried the link, did you use google chrome?
-
Tried it on Firefox and IE (both most recent versions) and I get no warnings and still see no reason to even get a warning (and I know Firefox will give me that warning at times, just not on that link (which is a page I've been to several times and have posted in)).
I don't have Chrome, so I can't say anything about it.
-
I've clicked it with Chrome, no issues, Win XP x86

I tried it with Chrome before you posted this and didn't get any messages.

Thanks for the feedback
Not really sure whats causing this.
Different operating systems and different av, both display the same warning page
-
Maybe some sort of DNS hijack thing? I'd be curious if you get the error with those computers using a different Internet connection. Dunno.
-
just asked my friend in New Hampshire (im in the UK) to try the link.
He gets the warning too, he is running chromeplus win7 x64, microsoft security essentials
so its not limited to my machines/connection.
-
Huh. Odds bodkins that's weird. You're not both using OpenDNS are you?
-
He is using OpenDNS, im not
-
Happens to me as well, using two different ISPs and sets of DNS servers.
-
Can someone who is having this issue view the page source and copy/paste or attach it here? When I view the page source, there is no reference to anything .ru on there.
-
methinks their computers have been hijacked somehow...
-
OK
clicked the link
bypassed the warning
got to the destination page
here is the source

EDIT: I have submitted a bug report to google regarding this issue
-
No .ru in that paste...
-
yes, thats true
however the issue remains
-
There is no reference to devonsharks.ru ... it's a Chrome false alarm. They crop up from time to time.
-
Always boggles me how these things crop up. An errant google-ad that was there one day when they crawled (wouldn't that be ironic)? Someone's avatar or signature that changed? Who knows...
