Title: What to do when your TV needs direct remote access
Post by: reptileink on July 03, 2010, 09:02:47 am
Not sure if I worded that right, but basically my TV won't turn on unless the remote is pointing right at the sensor.

What do you guys do with your bezels when that happens?? I already tested it and it doesn't automatically come back on if the power goes out.

Do I leave a notch in the bezel? Do I hinge it at the top to open?? I really don't want to take the TV apart to wire a longer "on" button. Not to mention I just bought a $25 replacement remote for it....

HELP!

I'd personally notch the bezel. I got creative with mine.....

the infrared faces down in the cab, so I angled a mirror on the floor so I can point the remote in the coin door and turn it off and on.

what make/model is the TV in question ?

some have an " AC on " setting in the service menu .

NOT to be confused with customer accessible menus     ;D
