Title: KTN-2001 problem
Post by: kardenm on July 01, 2010, 12:16:21 pm
I have a brand new Kortek KTN-2001 which did work fine.  I was told by Betson (who sold this monitor) that I needed to replace two components which they sent to me.  The two parts are: D607 (BY228 zener diode) and Q601(B834-Y transistor).  I replaced these components as directed and now I can no longer adjust the horizontal size, and the picture is now to wide for the screen.  Adjusting the horz size pot on the remote board has no effect (all other controlls work as normal).

Anyone else encounter this problem or have any suggestions?

:lol Why??  Tech at Betson told me monitor would not last more than "60 min." if I not replace these parts AND do several other fixes.  I'm beginning to think this monitor is a rip-off!!

Oh yeah.  And I've already had this monitor on for 3 hours :timebomb:.

not worked on one,the only thing i can think of that is causing the issue is whether the zener is placed the wrong way round-same with the transistor
if they sold you a faulty monitor then they are liable and should replace it
